Morning sickness occurs due to the changes in hormone levels. Nearly every women experience nausea in the first 3 months, sometimes paired with vomiting, called morning sickness. Although it can also occur any other time of the day and with certain smells.
You lose a lot of fluids during this time and it is important to keep up your water intake and your electrolytes balanced. Much the same as when you go bush walking in hot weather or during the good old Aussie summer.
Your stomach will be agitated from the hormonal changes. Be kind to it. Eat small amounts more often and drink fresh Ginger or Peppermint tea, which may help ease nausea temporarily.
Taking the time getting up can help settle down that nauseous feeling. So, ask your men to give you breakfast in bed, or at least a cuppa 😉
